Mega Training Days
Mega Training Days are designed to motivate individuals during the
winter and to be used for self-assessments. All Mega Days will take
place at the Caledon Community Centre at 6215 Old Church Road and
McMaster University.
- Mega Day 1: Jan 9 (Caledon Community Complex)
- Mega Day 2: Jan 23 (David Brayley Building @ McMaster University in Hamilton)
- Mega Day 3: Feb 6 (Caledon Community Complex)
- Mega Day 4: Feb 20 (Caledon Community Complex)
Mega day formats include:
8-8:45 am: Registration
and pre-organization
9-12:00 noon: Indoor windtrain biking and instruction
with Greg Pace
12-1:15 pm: Lunch/Relax: Bring
your own or eat near-by.
1:30-2:45 pm: Dryland / Power Yoga with Caron Shepley
4-5:30 pm: Swim Workout
or Swim Skill Instruction at Mayfield Pool

CPTN Yoga for Athletes Workshop at the CPTN Conference
Any serious
athlete will tell you that muscle balance and flexibility is the
key component to staying injury-free. Caron Shepley
has created Power Yoga for Athletes - a program designed specifically
for increased strength, flexibility and muscle balance in athletes. This
8-hour day, geared to teaching personal trainers how to incorporate
yoga into their clients' training sessions will include a brief history
of yoga, basic theory of pranayama and asana practice, discussion
about different types of yoga, the practice of sun salutations and other warm-ups
and the practice of specific postures and how they benefit athletes in
specific sports.
